About and Disclosures
Heartland Range Finder is an independent, anonymous informational directory that helps people find shooting ranges and classes, with a focus on first-time shooters and families. We start with Kansas.
How we verify
Basic facts (name, city, phone, type) come from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks public range list. Hours, prices, rentals and classes are only filled in when we confirmed them on the range's own website, and each such listing shows the date we checked. If we could not confirm something it says "Not confirmed" rather than a guess. Listing badges: Verified (core details checked on the range's own site), Partly verified, and Listed (from the state list only).
Sponsored and affiliate labels
Any paid placement is labeled "Sponsored" or "Featured." If we ever use affiliate links, they will be labeled and we may earn a commission at no cost to you. At launch there are no sponsored listings and no affiliate links.
Accuracy disclaimer
Hours, fees, rules and availability change often, and some listings are old. Always contact the range before you go. We are not responsible for errors or for your visit.
No legal advice
Nothing here is legal advice. Firearm laws vary by state and city. Consult the current statutes or a qualified attorney or instructor.
No firearm sales
We do not sell, transfer or broker firearms, ammunition or accessories. We are not affiliated with any range, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, or the NRA. Data from the NSSF directory is not used.
