The Kansas City metro has ranges on both sides of State Line: commercial indoor ranges with rentals and classes, two staffed public ranges run by the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), a small city range in Grandview, and several shotgun parks. Here's what we confirmed on each range's own site or official page.

For first-timers

If you've never shot before, a range with rentals and staff who coach beginners is the easiest start. Frontier Justice, Target Time Defense and Centerfire all list classes, and Lake City and Parma Woods have MDC staff on the line.
