Nebraska's 2026 November firearm deer season runs Nov. 14-22, according to Nebraska Game and Parks (NGPC). Every fall, gun clubs across the state open their ranges to the public for sight-in days, many of them listed by NGPC. Here's what's still coming up, plus places to sight in any time.

Notes:
- Weeping Water has targets at 25, 50, 100 and 200 yards.
- Eastern Nebraska Gun Club has targets at 50, 100 and 200 yards.
- Lincoln Izaak Walton League assigns each shooter a mentor. After you qualify at 100 yards (the club asks for a 3-inch group), Range 4 costs $5 more. The club says up to 3 firearms, and this is the only time non-members can sight in there.
- Crawford provides targets, stands and benches.
- Most of these clubs don't publish public hours outside sight-in days, so call before you go.
Already passed this year: Columbus Rifle Club (Oct. 11), Logan Valley (Oct. 17), Eastern Nebraska Gun Club (Oct. 17) and Lincoln IWL (Sept. 26).
Year-round and seasonal options
Lincoln area
- Killdeer WMA Sight-in Range (near Martell): a free NGPC 100-yard bench, daily 9am to sunset. Centerfire rifles .35 caliber or smaller; no steel-core bullets.
- DeGuns Outdoor Gun Range: an outdoor range open year-round, $34.99 a person for all day. NGPC lists no gun or caliber restrictions.
- Turpin Outdoor Education Center: indoor 25-yard lanes, rifles up to .30-06. Good for a function check, not a 100-yard zero.
Omaha area
- Indoor ranges in Omaha are 25-yard lanes; see our Omaha and Lincoln ranges guide. For a longer zero, use the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club or Weeping Water sight-in days above.
Central and western Nebraska
- Kearney Outdoor Education Complex: 100-yard rifle range, weekends 11am-4pm through Dec. 13 (closed Nov. 28-29), $5 per half hour.
- Wildcat Hills Shooting Sports Complex (Gering): two 100-yard outdoor lanes, Thu-Sun until mid-November. Reservations recommended: 308-436-0561.
- Heartland Public Shooting Park (Alda): adult day pass $17. Hours change Nov. 1, so call.
Tips
- Sight in with the same ammunition you'll hunt with.
- Bring cash for club sight-in days; several are cash only or donation based.
- Some clubs, like Southwest Rifle and Pistol Club, have volunteers on hand to help. Go early if you can, because the last weekend before opener tends to be busiest.
