MDC range at 598 W. Division Road, southwest of Clinton (per MDC news release on its 2020 reopening). Shooting positions for rifle, pistol and shotgun. Unstaffed MDC range, free to use. MDC rules: paper targets on the provided holders only; no alcohol on the range or parking lot; groups over 10 need a special use permit; no tracer, incendiary, armor-piercing or explosive ammo; no full-auto without a permit. MDC has proposed requiring a valid small game hunting permit to use its unstaffed firearms ranges (age and disability exemptions kept); if finally approved it takes effect Feb. 28, 2027. Check mdc.mo.gov before you go.
