In northwest Livingston County, six miles southeast of Jamesport. From Chillicothe: Hwy 190 west 5 miles, Route A north 5 miles, then Route A west 1 mile at Route W. Range is in the northwest part of the area. Unstaffed MDC range, free to use. MDC rules: paper targets on the provided holders only; no alcohol on the range or parking lot; groups over 10 need a special use permit; no tracer, incendiary, armor-piercing or explosive ammo; no full-auto without a permit. MDC has proposed requiring a valid small game hunting permit to use its unstaffed firearms ranges (age and disability exemptions kept); if finally approved it takes effect Feb. 28, 2027.
