Notes
From Russellville: Route AA south, Scrivner Road east, then Scott Road north 0.7 mile. Unstaffed MDC range, free to use. MDC rules: paper targets on the provided holders only; no alcohol on the range or parking lot; groups over 10 need a special use permit; no tracer, incendiary, armor-piercing or explosive ammo; no full-auto without a permit. MDC has proposed requiring a valid small game hunting permit to use its unstaffed firearms ranges (age and disability exemptions kept); the rule is not final (as of Oct. 2026 MDC had not announced final approval), so check mdc.mo.gov for its current status before you go.
