Missouri's November portion of firearms deer season runs Nov. 14-24, 2026, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC). That makes the first two weeks of November the busiest time at rifle ranges. Go early in the week if you can, and bring more targets than you think you need.
2026 firearms deer season dates
From MDC's 2026-2027 season announcement:
| Portion | 2026 dates |
|---|---|
| Early antlerless (open counties only) | Oct. 9-11 |
| Early youth | Oct. 24-25 |
| November portion | Nov. 14-24 |
| Late youth | Nov. 27-29 |
| Late antlerless (open counties only) | Dec. 5-13 |
| Alternative methods | Dec. 26, 2026-Jan. 5, 2027 |
MDC says hunters who take a deer on opening weekend (Nov. 14-15) in designated counties must take it to a mandatory CWD sampling station that day. See MDC's deer regulations for permits, limits and hunter orange rules.
